Paley Rothman’s litigation group handles a wide range of complex cases and represents a diverse group of clients in disputes arising in all areas of the firm’s practice. Our trial attorneys frequently litigate cases in federal and state courts and government agencies, and they also appear in administrative proceedings, arbitration and other forums for alternative dispute resolution.
We have significant experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in litigation involving shareholder and partnership control issues, breach of fiduciary duty, waste of corporate assets, fraud, conversion, conspiracy, negligence and related civil causes of action.
Our attorneys have substantial experience representing clients in appellate courts in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia and in several federal appellate circuits. Attorneys in the litigation practice group have handled hundreds of appeals in various matters in these jurisdictions (see also Appellate Practice Group).
