David Shapiro Elected Member of Governing Board of Adventist Healthcare Shady Grove Medical Center

David Shapiro, who belongs to the firm’s Health Law and Corporate practice groups, has been elected and begun serving as a member of the Governing Board of Adventist Healthcare Shady Grove Medical Center, an advisory body whose 19 members each complete a two-year term after being appointed by the Adventist Healthcare Board of Trustees.
The group provides counsel to the hospital and its president in conjunction with the facility’s strategic direction, and periodically maintains direct responsibility over such hospital matters as medical staff credentialing and Joint Commission compliance.
