Three Paley Rothman Estate Planning Attorneys Contribute Articles to April MSBA Bar Bulletin

Wayne Eig, Allison Lee, and Michelle Chapin contributed articles to the April issue of the MSBA Bar Bulletin.
Wayne and Allison co-authored an article entitled, “Maryland’s Version of the Prudent Investor Rule,” which provides standards for a fiduciary making investment decisions. The article is framed as a "what practitioners and clients should know" about the rule and how a discussion of the applicable standards can most effectively factor into the estate planning attorney-client discussions. Michelle authored an article entitled, “Seven Considerations for Selecting a Guardian Under a Will,” which addresses such issues as naming the best guardian, guardianship of kids with special needs, multiple guardians of siblings and related guardian of children’s finances. Wayne, Allison and Michelle are all members of the firm’s Estate Planning, Estate & Trust Administration, and Tax practice groups.
