Jim Hammerschmidt gave a presentation covering hot topics in employment law to the Advanced Business Law Institute of the Maryland State Bar Association on April 14, 2016.
The presentation provided practical advice about the hot button employment issues facing businesses today, including a changing wage and hour landscape, agency attacks on employment policies and practices, growing judicial hostility toward arbitration agreements, broadening joint employer regulations, continued erosion of independent contractor relationships, and navigating leave issues and new leave laws. Jim is Co-Chair of the firm’s Employment Law practice group and a member of its Litigation and Appellate practice groups.
