Securing Your Legacy: Estate Planning and Family Philanthropy

Jeffrey Kolender, Principal

Jeffrey Kolender was a panelist for a webinar titled: “Securing Your Legacy: Estate Planning and Family Philanthropy” hosted by Bernstein and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Too often we focus exclusively on the “how-tos” in supporting charities and missions we value. While this is indeed important, you also need to also consider your family and loved ones. Are they aware of your philanthropic mission and goals? Do they know the story and personal ties to the organizations you support? When you’re not here, will they know how to honor your philanthropic legacy?

This webinar discussed estate planning, giving vehicles, family legacy, and the changing environment for charitable giving. The panelists focused on estate planning and deferred giving strategies you can implement to support your philanthropic endeavors, as well as ways you can share and manage your philanthropy with your family.
