“When working with estate planning clients, my goal is to make sure my clients understand all the ramifications of their documents. When working with a decedent’s estate, I strive to be respectful and empathetic while remaining professional and effective. ”
John is a member of the firm’s Estate Planning, Estate & Trust Administration and Tax practice groups. With more than 40 years of private practice experience, John focuses primarily on estate planning, probate and trust administration, as well as the preparation of federal and state income and estate tax returns. John recognizes that there is no such thing as a simple will or probate estate as families and emotions can be complex. He focuses on ensuring his clients have the most appropriate and comprehensive estate plan for their goals and needs, while ensuring the clients understand the effect and primary goals of each document.
He also prepares income tax returns for individuals, small businesses, partnerships, and various charitable organizations. John’s extensive knowledge of the interplay between estate planning, estate administration, and tax law is invaluable when making the most advantageous tax elections and decisions for his clients.
When not in the office, John enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and watching or attending as many Nationals and Caps games as possible.
